14/8/25

In the Industrial High School Armando Quezada Acharán of Punta Arenas was made official the start of the CertificaTP program, an initiative supported by the OTIC of the Chilean Chamber of Construction, the Trade Association of Green Hydrogen Producers and its derivatives of Magallanes, NGO Canales and private companies in the Magallanes Region.

"The future of Magallanes lies in renewable energies and in its youth. In H2V Magallanes we highlight the opportunity to participate in this training program, which is of the utmost importance because it allows us to provide our Magellanic youth with the technical and professional skills to face the challenge of the future," said Salvador Harambour, Executive Director of the H2V Magallanes Trade Association.

The initiative, which began as a pilot within the framework of the Talent Route, already has 39 students of technical-professional high school who began their training in trades that in the future will be key to the development of Green Hydrogen (H2V) and energy efficiency, but for now can serve in other industries, such as construction, for example.

The students have already started their training in Magallanes as part of CertificaTP: 29 students from Instituto Don Bosco and 10 from Liceo Industrial Armando Quezada Acharán, both from Punta Arenas, who are being trained in three strategic trades for the development of the region: Gas Installer Class 3, Electrical Installer Class D and an Energy Efficiency course.

The implementation of the program has been possible thanks to the commitment of Gasco, Cemento Melón, Enap, Edelmag and Concremag, companies that channeled resources from the tax exemption, allowing the activation of training with relevance and territorial focus.

CertificaTP is part of the national Talent Route program, an initiative that seeks to strengthen the development of relevant human capital in key productive sectors of the country.
