Salvador Harambour, Executive Director of the H2V Magallanes Trade Association, presented to the Punta Arenas City Council the progress and challenges associated with the installation and development of the green hydrogen industry in the region.
During his presentation, he highlighted the natural advantages that position Magallanes as a strategic territory for the development of H2V, together with the need to consolidate a competitive ecosystem with respect to other international markets.
Harambour stressed the importance of having certainty and clear conditions for the advancement of projects, emphasizing that competitiveness and respect for environmental regulations must be pillars of regional sustainable development.
H2V Magallanes currently groups six companies with eight projects under development, both on the mainland and on the island of Tierra del Fuego.
During the session, Mayor Claudio Radonich and councilors Germán Flores, Jorge Risco, Marcela Leichtle, Dalivor Eterovic and Miguel Contreras asked questions and made comments on the state of progress of the projects and the main challenges facing this new industry.
