The Trade Association of Producers of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives of Magallanes gave its support and collaboration to the Punta Arenas Debate Tournament 2025, organized by the Austral Debate Society, an educational instance that promotes critical thinking, argumentation and constructive dialogue among high school students in the region.
The tournament, which began in 2005 as a self-managed initiative by a group of university students who are now professionals, seeks to consolidate itself as a space for training and meeting, where participants can analyze current issues and develop fundamental skills for their academic and civic future.
From H2V Magallanes we highlight the relevance of this type of activities to strengthen the capacity of analysis and reflection of the new generations, especially on issues of interest for the sustainable and productive development of the Magallanes Region.
"We value initiatives of this kind. Spaces like TODE PUQ allow young people to share in a healthy way, learn to listen and debate with respect, and get involved in the challenges of today's world. It is essential that as a community we support instances that promote critical thinking and commitment to regional development," emphasized Salvador Harambour, Executive Director of the H2V Magallanes Trade Association.
TODE PUQ 2025 was held at the Instituto Superior de Comercio (Insuco) in Punta Arenas and brought together 12 competing teams. The winning team was the Pierre Fauré School, with second place going to the Miguel de Cervantes School. Third place was shared by Liceo María Auxiliadora and the Debate Society of the Universidad de Chile.
The TODE PUQ School Debate Tournament aims to consolidate itself as an educational platform that encourages participation, collaboration and the exchange of ideas among students, contributing to the strengthening of an informed and active citizenry in Magallanes.
