For three days, Hyvolution Chile 2025 brought together leaders of the main companies in the green hydrogen sector (H2V), along with national and international authorities, trade associations and prominent exhibitors that promote the development of this industry in the country.
In this third version of the international congress in Chile, the role of the country as a driver of energy transition to the world was highlighted. In this context, the participation of the companies that make up the Association of Producers of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives of Magallanes (H2V Magallanes) had special prominence.
The fair was also a good opportunity to analyze the bill presented by the Executive aimed at promoting the installation of the H2V industry and which, in the opinion of the sector, requires timely modifications to be effectively beneficial for Magallanes.
On the opening day, the panel "Portfolio of green hydrogen projects: Promoting the creation of value and competitiveness of the country" was held, where the privileged position of Chile -and in particular Magallanes- in terms of renewable energies and the global nature of this market was emphasized.
The companies that make up H2V Magallanes highlighted the importance of public-private collaboration and the need to strengthen competitiveness vis-à-vis other countries. In this sense, they called for speeding up the permitting processes and advancing in strategic infrastructure for the Magallanes Region, where there are currently two projects in the process of environmental evaluation.
They also valued the government initiatives aimed at encouraging the industry, although there is concern about the 1% regional contribution contemplated in the bill recently introduced in Congress, as they consider that it could reduce competitiveness with respect to other territories.
The importance of having certainty in the processing deadlines and the regulatory framework was also mentioned, given that the judicialization of projects represents a risk for the conclusion of contracts and the development of investments.
"The territorial dimension of green hydrogen: Challenges and opportunities for NGOs, communities and developers" was another of the panels in which H2V Magallanes was present, a space for conversation in which the importance of building trust with communities and moving towards a social license that allows the sustainable deployment of green hydrogen projects in Magallanes and throughout Chile was emphasized.
From H2V Magallanes we reaffirm our commitment to promote an industry based on transparency, collaboration and vision of the future, contributing to regional and national development.
