Salvador Harambour, Executive Director of the Trade Association of Producers of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives of Magallanes (H2V Magallanes), described as positive the balance of the third version of H2V Educational Fair held on November 28 and 29 in Punta Arenas.
The executive especially highlighted the characteristics of the Centro Integral Infantil de Juego y Movimiento (CIIJUM), which is part of the Junta Nacional de Jardines Infantiles (JUNJI), the space that hosted the event. He emphasized that, in addition to its physical conditions, the facility has a deep symbolism: "Being a JUNJI space, it combines the idea of building the future represented by the new energy industry with the early childhood of Magallanes".
He also valued the quality and level of information presented at the stands of participating companies and institutions. In his opinion, this shows that "in the region it is possible to innovate and develop science at a high level".
He thanked the participation of companies, service providers and educational institutions in this collective effort to offer a billboard of high quality content. "This type of initiative allows us to demonstrate that energy development can move forward hand in hand with the citizens, integrating local actors in the conversations and decisions that will mark the regional future," he said.
The representative of the Magellanic guild highlighted the generation of spaces for dialogue through presentations and discussion panels. In this line, he mentioned the participation of entities that support the installation of the green hydrogen and green ammonia industry, as well as those who maintain critical positions or oppose its development. "It is essential to open spaces for dialogue. We are talking about the future of the region, and we must build it among the whole community," he said.
Harambour finally thanked the Regional Government of Magallanes, CORFO Magallanes, the Transforma H2V Program and JUNJI Magallanes for leading a major initiative aimed at generating knowledge for the regional community.
As the H2V Magallanes Trade Association, we were active participants in the H2V Education Fair, with an attractive stand designed to inform the community about the projects of the six companies that plan to set up operations on both the mainland and the island of Tierra del Fuego.
The H2V Educational Fair allowed us to interact with audiences of different ages and interests and to all of them we shared our concerns and hopes for the development of an industry that is called to transform Magallanes.
